Cross stands five and a half metres tall in Moone, its granite shaft carved with lions, furnaces and apostles so vivid they still breathe after twelve centuries. Buried once, then lifted again by human hands, it kept its shape through forgetting. The spiral sun on its head suggests older beliefs never left, only waited beneath Christian stone.

The West Cross lies to the south of the church (KD036-031001-). The remains consist of a two-stepped undecorated pyramidal base (base dims. 0.58m x 0.46m; top dims. 0.35m x 0.27m; H. 0.7m) with a small mortice (dims. 0.12m x 0.12m; D. 0.17m).
