Kiln, corn-drying

What is recorded here

Discovered during pre-development excavation at the site of the former Drogheda Grammar School in 1998 (Excavation Licence No. 98E0544). This kiln measured 3.9m by 2.2m and was situated c. 40m to the W of a more substantial corn drying kiln (LH024-041074-). Found in association with a number of medieval buildings (LH024-041068-, LH024-041069-, LH024-041072-, LH024-041075-, LH024-041076- and LH024-041077-), the remains of the Archbishops palace (LH024-041078-) and a lime kiln (LH024-041073-).
