Midden in Kilshannig

This shell midden was exposed following the winter storms and high tides of 2013-14. It averages 9.3m long (NE-SW) and the maximum thickness recorded was 0.6m. It consists of several layers of charcoal and shells: both fish and animal bone were also noted. The full extent of the midden is unknown (pers. comm. Sebastien Joubert).
