Beaubec is a medieval Cistercian grange in County Meath where Walter de Lacy gave lands to monks after 1215, yet older Neolithic activity already marked the soil. The abbey never became a grand named house in some accounts, but it remained a working farm under Norman and ecclesiastical hands. Excavations in 2019 and 2020 opened that buried layer, suggesting Beaubec was less a forgotten church than a continuous place of sustenance, patience and human occupation.
