Man-made underground passage in Dunbeacon

In garden of dwelling house on side of hill. Discovered in last century. Further collapse investigated 1964 (NMI). Two earth-cut chambers joined by creepway. Chamber 1: L 3.65m; Wth 1.34m; H 1.37m. Chamber 2: L 3.45m; Wth 2.28m; H 1.06m. (McCarthy 1977, 217-18). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
