According to Donovan (1876, 39-40), a Man-made underground passage (CO141-140----) was discovered in 1869 in a large field adjoining Clover Hill House on what appeared to be an artificially raised 'oblong mound'. The nature of this mound is uncertain and there are no visible remains of it in the vicinity of the Man-made underground passage. Its precise location is not known.
