Drumcashel Fort

Half a century after Tempest mapped its slopes in 1944, the fort still resists a single explanation. A Norman motte may have been forced atop an older Irish rath, trapping both identities inside one ridge. The missing staircase and strange terrace suggest two worlds collided before either learned the other's name.
