Lomanagh holds two earthworks, one smaller rath joined to the south side of a larger neighbour and set slightly lower, forming a paired defensive shape rather than a lonely circle. Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded that arrangement in the 1930s, but the precise spot has since slipped from local knowledge. The name Fairy fort may reflect more imagination than measurement, yet the physical description remains clear: two rings, one beneath the other in elevation, built to be seen and used as a single place.

In the 1930s, Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded a small rath which was joined to the S side of, and on a lower elevation to, another rath (KE094-038----) (KAS).
