Weir is a V-shaped fish trap in Tralee Bay near Blennerville, visible only from above because the mud flats below have become impassable. The shape suggests people once bent the tide’s path rather than fighting it, guiding silver into a narrow death or capture. What the sea took back, it did not erase completely; the angle still cuts through water and memory alike.

'This site was discovered from an aerial photograph, but it proved impossible to visit the site as this area is now impassable mud flats. This fish weir is located in Tralee Bay near Blennerville, to the south side of the entrance to the Tralee ship canal. From the air this fish trap has a distinctive V-shaped profile.'
