Freestanding circular-plan tapered single-bay five-storey windmill, built c. 1790, having cantilevered timber platform to first floor and timber lattice sails. Built by Sir Rowland Blennerhasset. Extensively reconstructed, c. 1985, to accommodate use as heritage centre. Conical sheeting to revolving roof with timber ball finial. Painted rendered walls. Arched openings, with timber multiple paned windows and boarded doors. Timber framed platform circling building at first floor level with timber stairs. Set on south bank of River Lee at mouth of river.
