In 1967, sand diggers near Skreen struck the bones of a young adult buried inside a curved esker loop. The ridge sweeps around a church like a forgotten arm, holding the dead close while the living walk above. That much is known. Whether the person belonged to the church or preceded it, the shape of the land suggests they were never meant to be forgotten.

In 1967 an inhumation burial was discovered while digging sand near Skreen. It lies in a curved extension of an esker that loops around a church (ME032-074----). According to Rynne, the general size of the bones would indicate that they were those of a young adult (Cahill & Sikora 2011, vol 2, 387-388).
