Fulacht fia in Lackaneen (duhallow By.)

In marshy ground. Cutting of drain in 1986 exposed burnt material along field fence and in drain section (16m N-S; D 0.5m). According to local information, burnt material extended c. 12m E from field fence but this is now covered by soil dug from drain. One of four fulachta fiadh (11313, 11314, 11315) recorded by Bowman (1934, 533) on Mr O'Flynn's land. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
