What is recorded here
Situated in flat meadowland with a small wood to the W. A slightly irregular rectangular area (dims. 26m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by a low bank (Wth 1.7m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.9m) on the N and W sides, a higher bank along E and S where it has been incorporated in the field boundaries, a deep, external fosse on the S side (Wth 2.8m; D 0.4m), and a shallow fosse elsewhere. The edge of the site is planted with a variety of mature trees, mainly ash and sycamore. It is unclear whether this is a habitation site or a copse.
