Enclosure in Knigh

Situated just off the crest of Knigh Hill on an E-facing slope. An oval area (diam. 27.4m N-S; 22.7m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.33m; ext. H 0.7m) with gaps at S (Wth 1.8m) and SW (Wth 0.9m). There is a small area of quarrying immediately to the SE of the site. Inspected in 1977 and classified as ring-barrow (Healy 1979, 47).
