What is recorded here

Kiltycarney holds a forgotten chamber where human life and fairy law still tangle. Its shallow ring, forgotten doorway and nearby rath suggest a boundary place rather than an ordinary farm. People may have lived there, fled it or hidden it from later memory. The land keeps the shape while withholding the name.

Located on a gentle NW-facing slope. This is an overgrown circular platform (diam. 38m NE-SW; H 1.1m) that slopes down to the N. It is defined by a drain (Wth of base 1m; int. D1. 1m; ext. D 0.3m), but the original entrance is not identified. It remains unplanted at the edge of a forest since 1995 at least (OSAP). Rath (LE031-053----) is c. 135m to the E.
