What is recorded here

The fairy fort or ringfort in Kilnagrange is in County Waterford, Ireland. The 1999 inventory recorded it as a subcircular enclosure, about 50 metres north-south and 55 metres east-west, on a gentle south-facing pasture slope. That same account stated it was not visible at ground level and occupied by a farmyard.
Marked as a subcircular enclosure (diam. c. 50m N-S; c. 55m E-W) incorporating a field bank N-E on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in pasture on a gentle S-facing slope. It is not visible at ground level, and is now occupied by a farmyard. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17-08-2009
