Lauaghnabra is an anomalous stone group on a Mayo pasture rise where a recumbent boulder rests on a sod plinth beside a smaller stone and a low cairn. The 1838 map omitted it, but the 1919 edition named it, suggesting the stones resisted easy measurement or ownership. They may have marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a joke the land still tells.

In pasture, located on a rise. This stone is not shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is indicted on the 1919 edition where it is named ‘Lauaghnabra’. A recumbent boulder (c. 1.3m NNE-SSW; c. 1.25m; ESE-WNW; T 0.3-0.6m) resting on a slight plinth of sod. A smaller boulder is located 6m to SSW.
