What is recorded here
Excavation began in November 2001 of several areas of archaeological activity discovered during testing. Area 1 consisted of an area of large pits on a prominent rise. One circular structure was excavated. Area 2 took the form of truncated pits and post-holes, many of which contained struck flint and pottery dating from the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age. Area 4 is currently under excavation (Bennett 2003, 424).
