Fairy Bush

Ritual site, holy tree/bush

What is recorded here

Fairy Bush is a whitethorn bush in County Laois, Ireland, marked as a ritual site on every OS map. People may have gathered there to honour the unseen, tying ribbons or leaving offerings beneath its white flowers. The bush still stands in the local landscape, carrying that old belief in its name.
