What is recorded here
A dispersed collection of irregularly laid brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.04m), ten pieces deep, with two pegs and occasional twigs (Wth 5.39m; D 0.75m). There is a concentration of material in the SW portion of the site, (Wth 1.8m; D 0.6m). The remaining elements most likely constitute outliers from this but a number of pieces may be not be associated. The pegs are set at 75° and are located within the main concentration. One has been worked to a pencil point, the other to a wedge point. A number of brushwood pieces have been worked to pencil and chisel points. Wood species include hazel, willow, birch and oak. The site is situated in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with fibrous roots. SMR WM039-091---- is located 3m to the SW in the opposing drain face.
