Grave Yard in County Meath, Ireland holds Kilberry parish church inside a D-shaped wall of stone. The earth widened eastwards after 1909, suggesting the community kept returning rather than leaving its dead behind. A font, graveslab and chest-tomb still stand within the boundary, marking continuity between worship and loss. The gentle south-facing slope catches late light, making the place feel less like an ending and more like a room where people stayed present.

Located towards the top of a gentle S-facing slope. The parish church of Kilberry (ME018-022----) is within a D-shaped graveyard (dims c. 90m E-W; c. 70m N-S) defined by masonry walls. The font (ME018-022002-), graveslab (ME018-022003-) and chest-tomb (ME018-022004-) are within the graveyard. The present graveyard was extended eastwards by a strip (dims c. 60m N-S; c. 25m E-W) since the 1909-10 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 6 June, 2014
