Fairy fort / ringfort

What is recorded here

On a hummock in gently undulating grassland. Poorly preserved almost circular rath (E-W 39m, N-S 38m) defined by a bank and external fosse from NNW through E to SE. Elsewhere a quarried-out scarp forms the enclosing element. Possible outer bank survives from N through E to SE. A field bank overlies the enclosing elements from SE through S to SW. A ringfort (GA074-019----) lies c. 350m to SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
