Hut site in Lackaroe

In rough pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. The remains of a circular hut site (2.6m N-S; 2.4m E-W) surviving as a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.6m). There is a narrow break in the wall at SE. The hut site is cut into the slope along the N arc. A fulacht fia (KE093-052001-) and a relict field system (KE093-052003-) are in the immediate vicinity. Another enclosure (KE093-083003-) is c. 25m to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
