Hut site in Erneen

In rough hill pasture, in a sheltered hollow, on a N-facing slope overlooking a river valley. The remains of an oval hut site (2.6m N-S; 2m E-W) defined by a partially grass-covered, collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall is best preserved along the W arc. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
