Field boundary in Erneen

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slopes of Barrerneen. A curvilinear, collapsed stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.4m) protrudes above the surface of the bog at W and extends intermittently to the E across the hillslope for a distance of c. 130m. From here a wall branches downslope to the S for c. 15m and another branch runs upslope to the N for c. 130m. Upright stones (H 0.8m) were noted along the wall at irregular intervals. Two hut sites (KE103-036002-, KE103-036003-) are in the immediate vicinity. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
