Holy well in Cookstown

Unlocated well in the townland of Cookstown. According to Lynch (1994, 642) there is a holy well known as ‘St Michael’s Well’ in the townland of Cookstown that is mentioned in the 1930s Irish Folklore Commission, Schools Manuscript Collection (IFC S 468: 71). The folklore manuscripts recorded that ‘on May morning the water from the well was added to the domestic wells of the area’ (Lynch 1994, 642).
