What is recorded here

Grave Yd in County Cork holds centuries of death beside the ruined parish church of Grenagh. Stone walls enclose headstones from the 18th and 19th centuries, rows of low uninscribed markers, and chest tombs that mark families now forgotten. The place remains in occasional use, suggesting that memory and burial still belong to the living as much as the dead.

On W side of road; rectangular graveyard (c. 60m E-W; c. 50m N-S) enclosed by stone wall. Still in occasional use; contains many 18th- and 19th-century headstones, and some chest tombs; also rows of low uninscribed gravemarkers.
