What is recorded here
Indicated is a graveyard in County Kilkenny where a medieval church sits buried under ivy at the centre of later graves. The tilt and light suggest people chose the spot for life, not death alone. Newer memorials circle the older building, forcing attention back to the church instead of hiding it.
Midway down a N-facing slope with good views from NW-W-SW. A rectangular graveyard (int. dims. 33m N-S x 30m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall. All the memorials date to the 18th century or later. Centrally placed within the graveyard is an ivy-clad rectangular medieval church (KK025-002001-).
