One gallaun still stands in boggy Iveragh pasture, a broad low slab rather than a proud pillar. The second stone recorded nearby has vanished from later mapping, leaving the original intent blurred: a pair, an alignment, or a mistaken mark. What remains is a quiet witness on a gentle slope, the kind of place where human hands may have set a boundary, a memory, or a direction through difficult terrain.
