In pasture, adjacent to well (now dry); ringfort (12752) c. 10m to S. Partially overgrown mound of burnt material (L 22.3m; Wth 17m; H c. 1.5m) with central depression. According to local information, second depression (8m x 9.5m) on SW side was caused by removal of burnt material for road building c. 1974. Indentation (diam. 1.8m) marks position of well. Mound formerly circular, now horseshoe-shaped due to removal of material on SW side. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
