Fulacht fia in Knockaturnory

Situated just S of the summit of a col between Croughaun Hill to the E and the Comeragh Mountains to the W. Kidney-shaped, grass-covered mound of broken and burnt stones (dims. 12m x 6m; H 0.6m) adjacent to a N-S stream and on its W bank. It had been removed by January 2012. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
