Fulacht fia in Killoran (moyne Par.)

In the course of field survey in Derryville Bog two spreads of burnt material were identified (Gowen 1999, Derryfadda 268-9, 132). The main component of these was sandstone, though some limestone and charcoal was present. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002).
