What is recorded here

Flame tongues lick the jar, mapping the hidden rooms beneath Flemingtown. The ground holds a large complex with sharp edges, deep pits and busy workspaces waiting for discovery. Early medieval hands may have shaped the soil before memory faded. The field still breathes through shadow, offering its secrets to patience rather than force.
Geophysical survey (Licence 05R137; Nicholls and Shiel, 2005) identified strong linear and rectilinear responses that suggest a large complex at the interior of which are numerous internal divisions, pit-type responses and possible industrial activity. Possibly a continuation of early medieval activity excavated immediately to the south (DU001-015----). Compiled by: Christine Baker Date of upload: 6 February 2015
