What is recorded here

Indicated is an earthwork in Fairymount, County Roscommon, Ireland. It formed a small oval enclosure measuring about twenty metres north-south and fifteen metres east-west on a gentle southeast-facing slope at the south foothills of Fairmount Hill. The 1837 Ordnance Survey map marked it attached to the south-southeast of a rath, but the earthwork cannot be seen now.
On a gentle SE-facing slope at the S foothills of Fairmount Hill. A small oval enclosure (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 15m E-W), marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as attached to the SSE of rath (RO036-025001-), cannot be seen now. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
