
What is recorded here
On a gentle SE-facing slope at the S foothills of Fairymount Hill. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 46m E-W; 44m N-S) defined by the remains of a fosse (Wth of top 5-7m; Wth of base 1.5-2.5m; int. D 0.1-0.5m; ext. H 0.1-0.2m). A field drain and outer bank curve around the platform at E, re-cutting the fosse NE-SE. There are four mature deciduous trees on the perimeter SE-S. A small oval enclosure (RO036-025002-) (dims c. 20m N-S; c. 15m E-W), marked on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as attached to the SSE, cannot be seen now.
