What is recorded here

Knockogonnell held a forty-metre circular fort on a sunny Galway slope, now erased beneath pasture and memory. Humans likely lived there before forgetting, shaping soil into a boundary that resistance itself destroyed. The land keeps the shape longer than people do, waiting for boots or rain to reveal what arrogance already buried.

On a SW-facing slope in pastureland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular enclosure (D c. 40m). No visible surface trace survives.
