What is recorded here

Shanavoher holds a twenty-six metre earthen ring where a laneway still skirts the western bank. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because the stones and soil resisted every human claim to understand them. The fairies may have built it, or they may have simply taken the unfinished work and made it their own.

In level pasture. Circular area (diam. c. 26.6m) defined by partially stone-faced earthen bank (int. H 1m; ext. H 1.5m) SW->NE; low rise NE->E. Laneway skirts bank to W.
