Fairy fort in Posseckstown, County Meath: a circular earthen ringfort on a south-facing rise, about 45 to 50m across, with a thick bank and outer ditch. In 1969 it was overgrown and sloping southeast; by 1995 the earthworks had been greatly reduced. Its entrance was never identified, leaving the fort closed to imagination as much as to entry.

Located on a rise on an undulating and generally S-facing landscape. In 1969 this was a circular overgrown area (diam. c. 45-50m) that slopes down to the SE. It was defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth of base 13m; int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.3m) and an outer fosse (at W: Wth of top 5.5m; Wth of base 3m; ext. D 0.4m) but the original entrance was not identified. The growth had been removed and the visible earthworks greatly reduced by 1995 (OSAP).
