Situated on a low rise in undulating pasture. Annotated ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a circular-shaped earthwork. Shown as a grove of trees on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. Monument described in 1983 as no surface remains visible. The site would be suitable for a ringfort. A fairy fort (ringfort/rath) in Paslicktown, likely dating to the early medieval period, is indicated by its circular earthwork and historic map depictions. The site is associated with local folklore regarding fairy activity, common to many such raths in Irish tradition.
