Mullaghoran holds a forty-two-metre circular scar where human hands shaped earth into a boundary, though time and forgetting have smoothed most of the edge. The remaining bank resists explanation, marking a place where people lived, loved, argued and disappeared before memory collapsed into myth.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 42m) enclosed by an earthen bank, best preserved from SE-S-NNW and denuded elsewhere, and a fosse infilled from N-NE-E. An apparently modern counterscarp bank borders the fosse at S. An earlier report (OPW 1970) suggested that the original entrance may have been at W.
