Fairy fort in Mitchellsfort, County Cork: a circular earthen ring, about 29 metres across, on an east-facing slope with a fine view southeast. Its bank has worn low, reaching 1.1 metres in places, and a stone wall tops part of the northeast edge. The inside is uneven, raised toward the south to compensate for the slope, and planted with conifers. It stands in tillage, not as a showpiece but as a marked change in the land, the kind of place where people may have drawn a line around daily life and called the inside their own.

In tillage, on E-facing lsope; fine view over valley to SE. Circular area (29.3m N-S; 29.2m E-W) defined by eroded earthen bank (H 1.1m); low, topped by stone wall to NE.
