Laurel's fort is gone, but the field boundary still kinks where its rampart stood. That sudden bend preserves the shape of a house nobody remembers.

In pasture. Depicted as hachured roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m), incorporated into field fence system to W on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; kink in field boundary (int. H 1.1m; ext. H 1.3m) to W; some undulations noted in area of site. May either be fort recorded by Bowman (1934, 574) as levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 34yd) on Mr Bolster's land or levelled fort in J.
