What is recorded here

Knocknageeha East holds a vanished ringfort on a gentle ridge, joining three nearby forts in a forgotten cluster. Broker recorded it in 1937 as a levelled fort only twenty yards from a standing one, but grass and time have since erased most of its shape. Local people still claim a faint circle appears when the pasture runs low, suggesting the land remembers what the surface has forgotten.

In pasture, on crest of E-W ridge on gentle N-facing slope. No visible surface trace; according to local information, faint circular feature visible in field when grass is low. Recorded by Broker (1937, 51) as levelled fort in Gate field, 'only 20 yards from one of standing forts'. Three ringforts (CO030-087---, CO030-088---, CO030-090---) lie c. 150m to S, c. 100m to W and c. 50m to SSE respectively.
