What is recorded here

Knocknageeha East held a circular fort about twenty-five metres across, visible on the 1842 map before Langley levelled it around 1870. A faint raised disc still marks the pasture, while three other ringforts dot the nearby slopes. The land remembers shape even when ownership and memory erase it.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; circular slightly raised area (diam. c. 22m) survives. According to Broker (1937, 51), ringfort 'in Fort field' on Tim O' Keeffe's land 'levelled about 1870 by Langley, former owner'. Two ringforts (CO030-088---, CO030-090---) and one possible ringfort (CO030-089---) recorded c. 200m to NNW, c. 150m to NNE and c. 200m to N respectively.
