Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Kilmurry (archer)

Fairy fort in Kilmurry (archer), County Limerick: a 32 m earthen ring in marshy pasture, its bank worn from south to north-northwest and broken at east-southeast where a causeway may have crossed the fosse. Inside, the ground lies level under grass, neither proud nor empty, but shaped like a threshold. People may have lived there before the bank softened, or excluded them because the place belonged to rain, roots and waiting.
