Kilcolman East holds a broken ring where a horse-training platform bit through ancient earth. The remaining D-shaped bank and shallow ditch mark a circular enclosure once wide enough to circle on foot. Under pasture and rain, the fort still keeps its shape, waiting for someone to remember that horses and people both leave marks on land.

In pasture, on gentle N-facing slope, near base of hill. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) on 1923 OS 6-inch map, is now truncated by horse-training platform ESE->WSW. It now survives as D-shaped area (33m N-S; 37.5m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.65m), with external fosse (Wth 2.3m; D 0.5m) WSW->ESE. Level interior under pasture.
