Marianne stopped her car on the gravel track and walked toward the shallow circle. The fort had no stones, no signs, no sharp edges. Its bank rose like a breath held underground, and the gate faced the water as if waiting for someone to remember the way in. She placed her palm on the soil and felt warmth return. For one moment the field disappeared, and she stood inside a chamber where every forgotten name could be spoken again.

Internal diameter 39m N-S, 35m E-W Situated SE of KE005-050---- & KE005-051----, it is situated on rising land which is gently sloping S. This univallate rath, now much levelled, consists of a sub-circular area enclosed by an earthen bank. On the E side a gate has been incorporated into the bank and immediately E of this is a fieldbank and a small stream running N-S. Externally, the height of the bank ranges from .7m-1.6m and internally is .7m. On average the width of the bank at the base measures 6.7m. The opening to the E is 4m wide.
