Situated on a low natural rise of ground in an undulating upland area with a nearby ringfort (TN029-012) to the NE. A circular area (diam. 14m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 0.5m) and an outer fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.5m) which was waterlogged at time of visit. A field fence intersects the perimeter of the site at N on an E-W axis (Stout 1984, 57). Not indicated on the first edition OS 6-inch map.
