What is recorded here

Farrangeel held a thirty-metre earthen ringfort at the base of a west-facing slope before ploughing erased it. The 1842 survey still draws its circular lines, preserving a shape that human hands have forgotten. It may have sheltered families, stored grain or marked local authority, but the soil swallowed those details. What remains is a ghost in the landscape, visible only through the confidence of a drawing made when the fort still stood.

Probably levelled single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 29yd) referred to by Bowman (1934, 496) on Mrs. O'Riordan's land.
