Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Crossdrum Upper

Located on a rise in an undulating landscape. This is a raised subcircular and overgrown area (dims 29m E-W; 22.2m N-S) defined by a slight earth and stone bank (at WNW: Wth of base 3m; H 0.6m) SW-N at the top of a scarp (H 1.8-2.3m). At the base of the scarp is a fosse (at WNW: Wth of base 5m; ext. D 2.5m) and an outer earth and stone bank (at WNW: Wth 3m; ext. H 0.5m), but both are reduced to a berm (at ESE: Wth 4m) and outer scarp (at ESE: H 1m) or the natural slope over most of the circumference. The poorly-defined entrance (Wth of base 4m) and causeway (Wth of top 2m; H 0.4m) are at NE.
